COVID Update - Dec 7, 2021

Letter from the Superintendent - Dec 7, 2021
Posted on 12/07/2021

Dear Chester Academy Community,

I am sending this message to inform you that we had multiple (5) COVID cases confirmed today with a Cluster of cases in Grade 7, and several more students absent for household quarantining. As I am sure you have heard on the news, the positivity rate in New Hampshire is among the highest in the nation and we all need to be extra cautious right now.

We will have our custodial staff do additional cleaning and sanitizing in the classrooms, as well as ask our staff to be extra vigilant with hand washing, respiratory etiquette, and proper mask wearing. We would like to ask families to join us in our vigilance by monitoring your children closely and not sending students to school with any new or unexplained symptoms of COVID-19; this includes even mild symptoms.  Please also report any symptoms or exposure to the school nurse.

Thank you again for working with us to keep our students and staff healthy so we can remain in-person learning during the next few weeks leading up to the winter break.

Sincerely,

Sharon Locke, EdD

Superintendent of Schools
